TOOTH GEMS

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE TOOTH GEMS?

Tooth gems are essentially charms or crystals aka "gems" that are adhered to the tooth the same way Dentists adhere brackets on teeth for braces.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

  • Approximately 6 months - 24 months.

Longevity depends on several factors:

  • What type/size of gem you get (lightweight jewels tend to last longer).

  • How often you brush your teeth and how hard.

  • Your diet.

WILL THEY HARM MY TOOTH?

  • No, the gem is bonded to the enamel of your tooth the same way Orthodontists apply brackets for braces.

  • When it is removed they are simply popped off and the tooth will then be polished if there is any remaining bonding material.

  • There is no drilling or holes.

HOW DO I REMOVE THEM?

  • You can remove your tooth gem at any time by simply visiting your Dentist.

  • Otherwise, they may fall off naturally.

  • When it is removed they are simply popped off and the tooth will then be polished if there is any remaining bonding material.

DOES IT HURT?

  • No, the application of tooth gems does not hurt.

  • There is no drilling or holes.

WHAT IF THE GEM FALLS OFF AND I SWALLOW IT?

  • Tooth gems are lead-free and contain no sharp edges.

  • It will simply come out the “natural way”.

WILL IT GET IN THE WAY OF BRUSHING MY TEETH?

  • No, you can and should brush your teeth just like you normally would.

  • However, electric toothbrushes are not recommended for longevity purposes.

WHO IS SUITABLE FOR THIS?

  • Anyone with real teeth.

  • Any tooth that has no cavity, decaying or holes.
